MAURICIO GONZALEZ :
Born in Cuba, lives in Miami since 2000. Mauricio’s career as an artist after graduating from UF/New World School of the Arts began under the wing of Fred Snitzer’s gallery. His work has been shown nationally and internationally, with works acquire by private collections such as Martin Margulies collection, Cohen Family Collection among others. As an avid camper, Mauricio discover the fragility and beauty of Florida’s unique and diverse ecosystems, that will eventually inspired him to veer into landscape design and horticultural studies. Mauricio is an FNGL certified horticulturist and an ISA certified arborist.
I was born in Colombia and moved to the US in 2000. South Florida became my home and I fell in love with the dichotomy of its rich and vast habitats. Years of working in the non for profit sector in the arts, taught me about the impact that an idea when implemented with passion can have on our community. Partnering in life with Mauricio and with our growing family, my new mission became to spread the word about the current environmental threats that are depleting our water resources, significantly affecting the health of South Florida natural ecosystems and the alternative green practices in landscaping that can help us keep our Florida alive. Natalia is a proud 10KSB Goldman Sacks Alumni cohort#26.
