Consulting, Tree Reports & Surveys​

As horticultural subconsultants, NaMa supports landscape and architecture firms with site assessments and planting specifications. Many landscape architects rely on our native plant expertise for RFPs and RFBs.
 
We also help local governments, developers and HOAs implement sustainable landscapes through adequate plant selection, proper water management and resilience, and our on-staff ISA arborist provides comprehensive tree reports and surveys for new construction.

Eco-Swales & Lawn Reduction

Vegetated swales, also known as eco-swales or bioswales, are functional planted areas that address water quality, flood potential, stormwater runoff and more. NaMa specializes in designing eco-swales, from stylized annual and perennial meadows for public gardens to quieter, more evocative large-scale meadows for estates and institutions.
 
Each eco-swale is designed around the site’s unique conditions, including soil quality, invasive species, seasonal timing and maintenance needs. The gorgeous, easy-to-maintain meadow systems we create are designed to stand the test of time.

Sourcing & Installation

NaMa is dedicated to safeguarding our clients’ interests and the integrity of their projects. To that end, we implement green best practices that support our local economy and promote healthy ecosystems, closely monitoring every project in accordance with contract documents and local codes. As proud members of the Florida Association of Native Nurseries (FANN), we only source plant material from high-quality local nurseries that specialize in native species.

Maintenance

We offer detailed landscape maintenance services, including selective trimming and pruning (no shearing, leaf blowing or mowing), plant bed redefinition, weeding and mulching, overall landscape beautification and plant health assessment. We also specialize in creating long-term management plans for native gardens, from residential properties to larger estates and institutional landscapes.
 
Complex and expensive watering systems are not necessary. Similarly, our approach to both design and maintenance can significantly reduce or even eliminate the need for mowing, fertilizers and herbicides.
